Hi! My name is Natalie Strauss-Bullion

I’m a communications professional with a passion for storytelling, strategy, and community-building. I’m currently pursuing my MBA at Louisiana State University of Shreveport to deepen my expertise in marketing and leadership. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Communication Studies with a minor in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from Western Washington University in Bellingham, where I studied from 2019 to March 2021. Prior to that, I lived in Kennewick, Washington and attended Columbia Basin College, where I played soccer for two years and earned my Associate’s Degree.

Outside of work, I love reading, hiking with my husky, and exploring photography as a creative outlet.

I lead SACNAS’ marketing and communications as a service across the organization—developing and executing an annual strategy that supports brand storytelling, public engagement, and organizational goals.

My role includes:

  • Managing SACNAS’ digital brand presence across web, email, and social media.

  • Creating and overseeing all content: from social posts and email campaigns to digital ads, conference merch, and printed collateral.

  • Leading the organization’s social media strategy, content design, engagement, and analytics across platforms including Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, and YouTube.

  • Supporting fundraising and partnership efforts through targeted communications and brand alignment.

  • Overseeing branding guidelines, style guides, and cross-departmental collaboration to maintain message consistency.

  • Managing the marketing team, external vendors, and creative contractors.

  • Coordinating visual media, videography, and merchandising for the annual NDiSTEM Conference.

I bring a mix of strategy, storytelling, and execution, along with hands-on expertise in tools like

HubSpot, Canva,Smartsheet, and Google Analytics—keeping our messaging compelling,

data-driven, and community-centered.

At Harnish Auto Family, I advanced from Marketing Specialist to Marketing Manager, where I led strategic marketing initiatives across six automotive brands. I developed and executed monthly and annual marketing plans aligned with business goals, managed partnerships, and oversaw all aspects of brand communication—both digital and traditional.

Key contributions included:

  • Collaborated with data analysts to build marketing plans based on business objectives and budgets.

  • Managed community partnerships and coordinated events including car shows, wellness clinics, fundraisers, and customer appreciation campaigns.

  • Led content creation for digital, print, radio, and OTT advertising, including writing scripts and coordinating video production.

  • Oversaw brand consistency across channels and supported employer branding with HR.

  • Directed social media strategy, content creation, scheduling, and performance reporting.

  • Supervised a team of marketing specialists, provided coaching and feedback, and fostered a collaborative team culture.

  • Worked with external vendors, advertising agencies, and internal departments to execute integrated campaigns and ensure resource alignment.

  • Tracked KPIs, produced monthly performance reports, and maintained clear communication with leadership.

During my time there, I introduced new processes, toolkits, and streamlined communication practices that are still in use today. This role made me a well-rounded marketer, sharpening my skills in campaign development, event production, vendor relations, and multichannel advertising for diverse audiences.

At this small but growing painting company, I managed all aspects of social media and digital content creation. I built their content strategy from the ground up—capturing original photography and videography on-site, editing assets in Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom, and developing an engaging content calendar to showcase their work and customer satisfaction.

Key accomplishments:

  • Created and scheduled all social media posts, including before-and-after visuals, behind-the-scenes content, and client testimonials.

  • Ran targeted Facebook ad campaigns using Facebook Business Manager to drive visibility and engagement.

  • Met with clients to gather reviews and turn customer feedback into powerful promotional content.

  • Increased the company’s social media following by over 20% in just five months.

  • Helped bring in $17,800 worth of new painting contracts through organic and paid social efforts.

This role allowed me to sharpen my creative and technical skills while helping a small business grow its brand recognition and client base. It was rewarding to have such a direct hand in their success.
